The Gospel, or Good News, is the term used to describe the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. It truly is Good News.
As sinners, we are in need of beign saved. From what? An eterninty in hell, quite simply. There are two futures for each and every person that has ever lived. Eterninty in heaven, or eternity in hell. The Gospel is the key and central point of Christianity. It, very simply is:
- That Christ came to earth from heaven to assume the form of man to become our substitution and bear our sins.
- That Christ was crucified and died on the cross to finish that work.
- That Christ rose from the dead on the third day. Resurrected.
We, as Christians need to have faith (Hebrews 11:1) and believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ in order to claim the salvation He has offered to us.

Here is the Gospel of Christ as stated by Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4:
1. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2. By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4. And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 AV)
